Description

Cute as a button, Rosa 'Cutie Pie' is the most adorable little pot rose, smothered with the sweetest pink apple-blossom blooms. Completely free of thorns, 'Cutie Pie' could be the perfect rose for gardening with children—as budding little horticulturists can handle it without fear of pricked fingers. At just 10-15cm high, its dinky size makes it a beautiful potted gift for a loved one, so those cheerful blooms can blow them a kiss every day.

The compact Rosa 'Cutie Pie' is just wonderful for growing in patio containers, creating gentle mounds for edging paths, or spilling gently along the front of a border. Requiring very little in the way of maintenance, just trim off spent flowerheads of this miniature rose after the first flush of flowering.

Useful information

    • Soak the Rosa 'Cutie Pie' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting

    • Plant your "Miniature rose" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors

    • Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed. Some varieties are a length of root which should be planted lengthways and shallowly (1-2cm deep).

    • Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
