This added abundance of petals increases the rose-like appearance for which most Begonias are known. Extra lush and extra-large, the blooms reach a diameter of around 15cm or 6 in when fully opened. Double Begonia bulbs grow to a height of 30 to 40cm (12 to 16in) and are well-suited to container gardening, looking beautiful on terraces or patios. Double Begonias like regular watering, but don’t like too much of it, and it’s best to avoid wetting the leaves when watering them.
