Description
Have faith in your growing skills, you can do it! Monarda 'Bee-Lieve' is easy to grow and absolutely amazing to have in the garden. It’s a pretty pastel coloured bee balm, which is unusual to see because this genus is predominantly bright and vivid tones. You can slot Monarda 'Bee-Lieve' into a more gentle colour scheme and it will blend right in. Bees and other pollinators love these flowers so you can enjoy having a buzz of life about your borders with this included. You can also look forward to fragrance from its bergamot-scented leaves.
Hardy perennial Monarda didyma 'Bee-Lieve' is a reliable, tough plant which will grow well in most soils and sunny placements. Every year, it grows back from a slightly larger root system, and as the clump grows each year it produces more flowering stems. Eventually, there will be plenty of blooms for the bees outside, and enough spare for you to snip a few and enjoy in a vase indoors. Good planting partners for Monarda didyma 'Bee-Lieve' include ornamental grasses, dahlias, gypsophilas and phloxes.

Useful information
-
Soak your Monarda 'Bee-Lieve' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "Bergamot" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
