Description
Refresh your planting schemes with a delicate flurry of Leucojum aestivum. Also known as 'Summer Snowflakes', they actually flower in spring but are incredibly long lasting, with multiple nodding blooms per stem each with daintily pointed and green-tipped petals. Close up their flower detail and form is totally gorgeous, and from afar a good clump of these creates a fabulous dotty peppering of white which will invigorate any garden design.
Leucojum aestivum have similar looks to that of the snowdrop, only much taller and later, so if you love snowdrops then this is the perfect choice to continue that cool fresh look right though spring! Easy to grow, perennial and a strong naturaliser, these generous plants are happy to just keep giving – each year producing more and more of their bonny white blooms.
