Description
From the first rays of morning to the half-light of dusk, the vivid, ultraviolet blooms of Iris sibirica 'I See Stars' will glow with a celestial beauty unlike any other. The six shapely outer petals unfurl to reveal an open-faced flower, streaked with a delicate tracery of white and gold veining—creating a galaxy so stunning you could get lost in it. Planted en-masse, those heavenly blooms are reminiscent of the swirling, saturated colours of a Van Gogh painting—why not use them to create your own masterpiece in the garden?
Iris sibirica 'I See Stars' just loves to make itself at home in moist (but not waterlogged) soils, so is a great choice for pondside displays, or planting around water features. Siberian iris also thrive in borders with a moist but free-draining soil. As a strong naturaliser, over time this robust perennial will form large, handsome clumps of upright, linear leaves. Plant Iris sibirica 'I See Stars' in full sun for the most astronomical flowering display, although those colours can shine just as well in a partly shaded position too.

Useful information
-
Soak the Iris 'I See Stars' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting
Plant your "Siberian iris" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed. Some varieties are a length of root which should be planted lengthways and shallowly (1-2cm deep).
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
