Get set for summer glory with this incredibly flashy climber, Gloriosa 'Summer Breeze'. The slender stems of the Glory Lily twine their way up trellis and obelisks while the leaves cling on with their dainty but strong tendrils. Large blooms appear in summer with wavy-edged reflexed petals. Even more fascinatingly, this variety flowers in different colours. Some blooms are more red, others are more yellow or pink and some are a pale lime green — each one is a surprise!

Because Gloriosa 'Summer Breeze' originates from countries with warmer climates, it’s one to keep away from frost. During summer, it’s perfectly happy outside in cooler climates and it is really easy to grow. All it needs is a frost-free start to get it underway, then it can go outside in early summer where it will happily continue to thrive. If you don’t have indoor space to start them off, you can also plant the bulbs directly outside in May!
