Description
For when subtlety and restraint just won’t do, we introduce the wonderfully bonkers, fried-egg-like flowers of Gladiolus 'Buggy'. The huge, eye-catching yellow and creamy white flowers of this tall variety make a striking feature from mid to late summer in the garden, and work particularly well amongst blues and purples. Ideal for the middle to back of a border, or for adding height and drama to a container display.
Plant your Gladiolus 'Buggy' corms in spring (April to May is best), at a depth of three times the corm. Planting a few every couple of weeks will stagger the flowering periods to give you a longer-lasting display. Your gladioli will be happiest in a sunny, sheltered spot in moist, well-draining soil. If you’re growing Gladiolus 'Buggy' in a pot, don’t let the compost dry out during the growing season, and feed with tomato feed every fortnight for turbo-charged blooming.
