Whilst Fritillaria 'Red Beauty' does look a quite tropical, it is hardy and the bulbs will be perfectly fine tucked up in the soil outdoors over winter. Their outlandish appearance rarely fails to impress—flowering around March/April, Fritillaria imperialis are without a doubt among the most high-impact spring bulbs.
