A wonderful pompom dahlia, 'Copperboy' is not often seen for sale, but it makes an impressive addition to any garden. It stands out from other dahlias, due to its striking, colour—but what colour is it? Bronze? Burnt orange? Dark red? Let’s just go with copper—as in its name. This stunning ball dahlia will really spice up your garden!
A medium-height dahlia, it is well-suited to a point mid-way in a border, or a patio container. The flowers hold up well on their strong stems, even in quite windy conditions. These strong stems also mean that the vibrant little ball-shaped flowers of Dahlia 'Copperboy' are perfect to use for cutting and arranging, and they last a long time in water.
This is a flower that looks good on its own, but really comes alive when matched with contrasting whites, creams and yellows. Dahlia 'Copperboy' is one of the best of the dark orange flowered varieties.
