Description
Take the tropical theme to the next level with this flashy number, Colocasia 'White Lava'. The large, heart-shaped leaves of this remarkable plant each brazenly flaunt a bright white spark-like marking, centred with a purple dot for extra detail. Achieving the tropical look means packing the plants in close to make a cool, leafy surrounding. Compact in size compared to many other Colocasia varieties, this one is just perfect for growing in a container or for squeezing into a small space.
Often grown as a houseplant, Colocasia 'White Lava' can also be successfully grown outside during the summer months, given a warm, sheltered and partially shaded spot. Pair it with architectural plants with plain leaves so it can really stand out, or mingle it in with some dazzlingly bright dahlias for a really staggering blast of colour and texture!
