Description
Eremurus 'Cleopatra' can make a huge statement in your garden – one definitely worthy of the Egyptian Pharaoh it’s named after. This Foxtail Lily or Desert Candle doesn’t do anything in a small way, including sending its long flower spikes up more than 2 meters (more than 6 feet) from its rather insignificant clump of foliage lying almost flat on the ground below. On Eremurus 'Cleopatra's flower spike, hundreds of tiny apricot-coloured blooms will open gradually and in sequence from the bottom up, ensuring a beautiful display for a long time.

Useful information
-
Plant your Eremurus 'Cleopatra' bulbs from mid to late autumn
Plant in borders in a sunny, sheltered position
Soak your "Desert candle" bulbs/roots in water for 2-3 hours prior to planting
Dig a hole 15-20cm deep for the whole bulb with a peak of light soil, grit, sand or gravel in the centre so that the crown is shallower than the roots
Plant with the crown just below the soil surface with any visible shoots or 'eyes' facing upwards, and the roots angled downwards
Space the Eremurus 'Cleopatra' bulbs 15-20cm apart
