Description
This large Crocus 'Pickwick' is one of the most popular of the large crocuses. It’s not that difficult to realise why. The jaunty fellow creates an image of a dapper gent forced out of winter hibernation by the summer sun with such urgency he’s still got his mauve striped pyjama’s on and is forever carrying his orange nightlight even in the sunshine. Nobody’s going to criticise his attire, though, the silvery lilac, striped with a darker shade of lilac is nothing if not striking. When the sun goes down, or the rain falls, striped Crocus 'Pickwick' will close and return to his slumbers till the next day’s sun shines again.
