The amazing dark (near-black) foliage of Colocasia esculenta 'Black Magic' makes this is a particularly good variety for growing in the summer garden where is can provide a stunning, contrasting backdrop to accent surrounding flowers. They prefer a rich, moist planting area in partial shade and are just as happy in pots as they are in borders. If you have a bright, airy home, the ebony foliage makes for a striking feature for indoor use too!
