Description
You’ll be powerless to resist the intense hot-pink flowers of Echinacea purpurea 'Fatal Attraction'. If your summer display is lacking a little va-va voom, bring this vivid variety to the party and she’ll be sure to liven things up in an instant. With a relatively compact and bushy habit, she’s perfect for pots – but will be equally happy to make herself at home in any mixed border, too. Her nectar will certainly bring all the bees to the yard, so if you want to attract more pollinators to your garden (and who doesn’t?), Echinacea purpurea 'Fatal Attraction' should be number one on your guestlist.
Cut flower growers take note - other pink Echinacea varieties feature long, lean petals which may tend to droop down and get lost in flower arrangements, but not so 'Fatal Attraction' – the silky petals are short and sweet, meaning they’ll hold their own and shine brightly in the melee of any bouquet. This variety is reliably perennial, too – all she requires is plenty of sunshine and well-drained soil, to keep bringing the party vibes to your garden year upon year.

Useful information
-
Soak your Echinacea 'Fatal Attraction' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "Coneflower" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
