Description
Allium nevskianum is a rare prize among the alliums, so treasure it. Those fortunate enough to have one will watch a wide umbel grow close to the ground between its two broad leaves. With dark pink, deep red or purplish flowers pointing in all directions and gaps in between, the umbel appears to be opening many arms wide in welcome. Embrace it right back, and you’ll find yourself in a purple patch where everything feels right.
As for visitors, they’ll all want to know what that rare and beautiful plant is. Since its natural habitat only comprises two countries, any garden with Allium nevskianum is a special one. Will yours be?
