Hydrangea 'Choco Love' is a compact bigleaf hydrangea with a rather delicious sense of seasonal drama. Part of the Rebellion series, it produces rounded flowerheads that open in a fresh pistachio-green shade before deepening through the season into rich reddish-pink tones with warm, chocolate-brown nuances. This evolving colour gives Hydrangea 'Choco Love' a wonderful sense of movement, as though the plant is quietly repainting itself while nobody is looking. Flowering generously from June to September, Hydrangea 'Choco Love' brings colour, structure and a touch of indulgence to borders and containers without demanding a grand estate in return.

Soak the Hydrangea 'Choco Love' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting
Plant your bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost within a week of delivery and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed. Some varieties are a length of root which should be planted lengthways and shallowly (1-2cm deep).
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
