Description

Bring a little celestial charm to your borders with Gladiolus 'Moonlight Shadow'. With their creamy yellow lunar centre and lilac outer edges, the large, showy flowers of this variety add height and luminosity amongst other summer-flowering plants. We love pairing Gladiolus 'Moonlight Shadow' with the lime-green flowered Gladiolus 'Kio' to bring out the zingy central detail. Mingle with blues and purples for a harmonious colour scheme—think phlox, salvia, and nepeta. Absolute heaven!

When it comes to planting out your Gladiolus 'Moonlight Shadow' corms, it pays to be a little clever with timing. Each flower lasts about a fortnight, so by staggering your planting i.e., planting a few every couple of weeks, you will extend the overall blooming period of these beauties in your garden. Remember as well that gladioli need a little help getting through a UK winter. Lift and store the Gladiolus 'Moonlight Shadow' corms if you live somewhere wet and cold, or leave in the ground with a thick mulch if you’re in a drier, milder region.
