Description
Digitalis 'Lucas Light Pink' brings a gentle, romantic lift to the summer border, with spires of tubular pale pink and soft salmon pink flowers held above neat, dark-green foliage. The leaves are wrinkled, toothed and satisfyingly substantial, creating a strong base before the flowering stems rise with their elegant display. Each bloom has a soft white and pink speckled throat, giving Digitalis 'Lucas Light Pink' that delightful close-up detail foxgloves do so well. Flowering from early summer through to autumn, it offers a long season of colour without ever looking overdone.
Lovely in cottage gardens, woodland edges and relaxed mixed borders, Digitalis 'Lucas Light Pink' pairs beautifully with hardy geraniums, astrantia, ferns and ornamental grasses. Its pale colouring is especially useful for brightening partially shaded corners, though it is just as charming in a sunny spot with moisture-retentive soil. Digitalis 'Lucas Light Pink' has the vertical grace of a classic foxglove, but with a softer, more contemporary palette. Allow a few stems to weave through planting for a natural effect, where Digitalis 'Lucas Light Pink' can lend height, poise and just the right amount of garden theatre.

Useful information
-
Soak the Digitalis 'Lucas Light Pink' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting
Plant your "Foxglove" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost within a week of delivery and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed. Some varieties are a length of root which should be planted lengthways and shallowly (1-2cm deep).
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
