Description
All begonias are soft and pretty flowers, but fimbriata begonias really steal first place when it comes to being fancy and frilly. Begonia 'Fimbriata Yellow' takes the rose-like effect of the Begonia 'Double Yellow' and steps it up a notch to put it in the same league as a really tightly-frilled carnation. It’s just as bright and summery as other begonias but the frilly layers of the fimbriata make the yellow seem even more striking!
You’ll have lots of radiant yellow blooms between June and October if you plant Begonia 'Fimbriata Yellow' in borders or in containers for display on your shaded patio.

Useful information
-
Begonia 'Fimbriata Yellow' tubers are tender and require protection from frost. For best results, start them off in temporary pots in a greenhouse in March or April to give them a head start. They can then be transplanted outside in May.
Begonia tubers can also be planted directly outside into borders or containers in May.
When planting in containers, multipurpose compost is the ideal choice of growing medium.
Plant the Begonia 'Fimbriata Yellow' tubers shallowly with the dipped side facing upwards—the top of the tuber should be around 1-2cm below the soil surface.
Space the tubers around 15-20cm apart from each other in a container display, or 20-30cm apart in borders.
Water-in thoroughly after planting and water regularly while in full growth. Don't allow them to sit in wet soil while still dormant.
