Each Hippeastrum 'Temptation' bulb produces multiple blooms per flower stem, and our bulbs often produce more than one flower stem. This means that your amaryllis remains beautiful for longer whilst requiring the bare minimum in terms of maintenance. It’s really easy to achieve spectacular results with Amaryllis 'Temptation'. Simply plant your bulb in autumn into a small pot with compost, position in a warm, bright room and water occasionally. When it’s ready, it’ll produce the most majestic flower stem topped with an impressive head of flowers, then usually a second stem will follow for an encore.

Use peat-free multipurpose compost and position the bulb with its pointed end upwards. Leave the neck and upper third of the bulb above the compost.
Place the pot indoors in a warm, bright position away from direct heat. Turn it regularly as the stem grows to keep it straight.
Water lightly after planting, then sparingly until growth appears. Increase watering as the plant develops, keeping the compost lightly moist but never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, but retain the flower stalk until it yellows. Continue watering and feeding while the leaves remain green to replenish the bulb.
