Description
Ajuga 'Princess Nadia' is an evergreen bugle with a rather charming flair for colour, spreading neatly to form low, variegated ground cover around 10-20cm high. New shoots emerge in deep pink, bringing a fresh, rosy flush to the garden before the leaves mature to green with smart cream margins. This changing foliage gives Ajuga 'Princess Nadia' plenty of interest even when not in flower, which is very decent behaviour from a ground cover plant. In spring, short spikes of blue-purple flowers rise above the leaves, adding a cool, lively contrast to all that pink, green and cream.
Plant Ajuga 'Princess Nadia' in moist but well-drained soil, in sun or partial shade, where it can gently weave between perennials, soften path edges or brighten the front of a border. It is especially useful beneath shrubs, around spring bulbs or in small gaps where bare soil needs a prettier solution. A second flush of bloom may appear in summer, giving Ajuga 'Princess Nadia' another moment to show off, though the foliage carries the display beautifully on its own. Colourful, compact and quietly hardworking, Ajuga tenorei 'Princess Nadia' is a lovely choice for gardeners who appreciate ground cover with personality.

Useful information
-
Soak the Ajuga 'Princess Nadia' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting
Plant your "Bugle" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost within a week of delivery and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed. Some varieties are a length of root which should be planted lengthways and shallowly (1-2cm deep).
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
