Description
The name Maya has many meanings, from goddess to illusion, from 'the great one' to the industrious one. All could apply to the beautiful Dahlia 'Maya'. She’s sort of modest for a goddess, but will fill your garden with wonderful illusions of colour, softness and tranquillity while industriously going about her daily work of producing an abundance of modest-sized blooms between July and November. Perhaps it’s the goddess in her that makes it hard to know exactly what they will look like.
The double blooms mix apricot, pink and yellow, but Dahlia 'Maya' doesn’t guarantee exactly how. The flowers can emerge as anything from pure apricot to blushing pink-centred beauties, with just a little apricot on their rounded petals.
