Description

Anemone 'Mount Everest' is a classic snow white, double flowering anemone in the St. Bridgid range. Reaching a mature height of 30-40cm, it has a clump-forming habit, making it ideal for beds, borders and rockeries, as well as patio containers. Its sturdy stems are well able to hold the dazzling white blooms. Each flower has frilly petals and a lemon-lime centre. It is a must for white gardens, and it looks particularly pretty when grown in a lightly shaded area. The lacy leaves complement the blooms well. Also, when cut, the blooms last a long time in water.

The flowers of Anemone coronaria 'Mount Everest' (Saint Bridgid Group) last for weeks, and early butterflies will be attracted to them. Ideally planted in the UK during mid to late summer, they will flower the following spring. Note that the foliage dies back after flowering, so it is a good idea to plant Anemone 'Mount Everest' amongst and between other plants, to avoid creating any bare spots.
