If there is one Siberian iris that has been developed to calm down a riotous border, or even a packed patio container, it is this one! Iris siberica 'Dreaming Green' has a serenity about it that most other irises—and indeed any garden plant—cannot get close to! Essentially, it has white-green blooms. However, look closely and you will see that it has eye-catching creamy-white petals (or falls), and these fade to a beautiful, delicately veined olive-green towards the centre. Iris 'Dreaming Green' has a unique colour blend, offering elegance to any sunny border or patio container.
Actually, this is a cultivar that is hard to find elsewhere, and it will captivate anyone who spies it. From late spring to early summer, Iris siberica 'Dreaming Green' produces its large, elegant flowers, on tall stalks around 70-80cm high. It is ideally suited to grouped plantings or as an eye-catching feature in garden borders, cottage gardens, or amidst naturalistic settings. Don’t forget, too, that Iris 'Dreaming Green' lends itself exquisitely to refined floral arrangements.

Soak the Iris 'Dreaming Green' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting
Plant your "Siberian iris" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed. Some varieties are a length of root which should be planted lengthways and shallowly (1-2cm deep).
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
